Thanks @Rachel for highlighting the concern that AI trained on current data sets is likely to be "The most impersonal perpetuator of systemic medical biases". AI will need a flood of honest lived experiences to correct imbedded biases. We're all physical first so this means we will need to broadly engage in the use of apps and wearables to convert our physical lived experience into zeros and ones such that they are explorable by AI. Detailing the minutiae of our lives and maintaining privacy and control over these digital assets requires an upgraded trust framework such as The 3 Zone model I've outlined in various posts and the book "Wealthcare". Happy to help in any way I can.
Thank you for reading!! I have five articles in this series, but I'm hoping to do further deep dives. I will definitely check out Wealthcare. I like to include a reading list when I can so that people can understand what informed an article.
My expertise is in the application of Tech/AI, but my lived experience as a woman of 56 comes with it's own set of biases.
Yes, your lived experience, bias and all, carries immense value when combined with the lived experiences of many. Together a firehose of ground truths would go a long way to course correct AI models and provide a plausible path for AI alignment with humanity.
